Match the paper to the brewer’s shape and size. Hario V60, V60 NEO, Switch and Mugen drippers take V60 cone papers in the matching size. The Pegasus takes its own Pegasus papers. AeroPress brewers use round AeroPress micro-filters (XL papers for the AeroPress XL). Syphons use cloth or syphon papers, and ESPRO presses use ESPRO papers sized to the press.
Filter papers are the most reordered item on any coffee bar, and the easiest add-on at the till. Get the fit wrong and you’ll hear about it: the wrong shape changes how coffee flows, and a paper that doesn’t sit properly lets grounds through. Here’s what fits what.

No. The Pegasus is a trapezoid dripper with two drain holes, so it needs Pegasus papers. A V60 cone paper won’t sit against its walls, and the brew will run unevenly. The reverse is true too.
White papers taste more neutral. Brown, unbleached papers can add a papery taste if they aren’t rinsed. Rinse either kind with hot water before brewing — it removes paper taste and warms the brewer. Hario lists rinsing the filter among its six tips for better pour-over.
The Hario x Project Waterfall V60 papers brew exactly like standard size 02 V60 papers, and sales support clean water and sanitation projects in coffee-growing communities. It’s a simple way to give customers a reason to choose your papers over a supermarket pack. Read more about the range.
One per brew, so it’s simple arithmetic. Multiply your daily pour-overs by your trading days, then divide by the pack size.

Add a few packs as buffer, and set a monthly reorder so you never run out mid-service. If you’re getting through more than about ten packs a month, the 120-pack Project Waterfall case — 12,000 papers, with free TOPL reusable cups — is the simplest way to buy.

Do V60 filter papers fit the Hario Switch?
Yes. The Hario Switch, V60 NEO, Mugen and the new Suiren all take standard Hario V60 cone papers in the matching size. Most cafés use size 02, which brews one to four cups.
Can I use V60 papers in a Hario Pegasus?
No. The Pegasus is a trapezoid dripper with two drain holes and needs Hario Pegasus papers in the matching size — 01, 02 or 03. They come in white or brown.
Which papers does the AeroPress Go use?
The AeroPress Go uses the same round micro-filter papers as the AeroPress Original and Clear. The AeroPress XL needs its own larger XL papers.
Do I need to rinse coffee filter papers?
Yes. Rinsing with hot water removes any papery taste and warms the brewer. It matters most with brown, unbleached papers.
How many filter papers are in a pack?
Hario V60 and Pegasus papers come in packs of 100. AeroPress micro-filter papers come in packs of 350.
