How to Open a Trade Account with Brewed By Hand

Any business with a VAT or company registration number — or a sole trader — can apply for a Brewed By Hand trade account. Complete the online application and we review it within a few days. Once approved, log in to see trade prices on Hario, Loveramics, Wilfa, Comandante and the rest of our range.

Brewed By Hand supplies speciality coffee and tea equipment to cafés, roasteries, restaurants, hotels and shops across the UK and Ireland. We’re the exclusive UK distributor of Hario, Loveramics, Wilfa and Comandante, alongside brands including Felicita, Peak Water, Opal, Sage, AeroPress, ESPRO, TOPL, OutIn, xBloom and Baratza.

Who can open a trade account?

You need a registered VAT or company registration number, or to be a sole trader. We work with independent cafés, roasteries, restaurants and hotels, retailers and online shops.

How do you apply?

1. Create a trade account with your business details.
2. We review applications within a few days.
3. Once approved, log in to see trade prices. Prices are shown ex VAT, with VAT added at checkout.

How much does delivery cost, and how long does it take?

Orders placed before 1pm leave our warehouse the next working day; orders placed after 1pm leave within two working days. Pallet orders take three working days to prepare. Stock takes, holiday cut-offs and last order dates are posted on our Ops Updates page.

How can you pay?

We accept card payments, digital wallets, PayPal, Shop Pay and BACS. Credit terms are available once approved by your account manager, and approved credit customers can order with a purchase order.

What’s the returns policy?

Returns must be authorised by our team and requested within 30 days of purchase. Return postage is paid by the customer, and charges may apply. See our refund policy for the details.

Do I need a VAT number to open a trade account?

How long does trade delivery take?
Orders placed before 1pm leave our warehouse the next working day. UK mainland and Northern Ireland orders usually arrive within 3–5 business days, and Republic of Ireland orders within 5–15 business days.

Is delivery free on trade orders?
UK mainland orders over £150 (ex VAT) ship free; below that delivery is £6 + VAT. Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland orders ship free over £250 (ex VAT).

Can I get credit terms?
Yes. Credit terms are available with your account manager’s approval, and approved credit customers can order using purchase orders.

Are trade prices shown with or without VAT?
Trade prices are shown ex VAT. VAT is added at checkout.
