Brewed By Hand supports UK coffee competitions, festivals and grassroots events by lending and donating equipment — Comandante grinders, Hario brewers and servers, Felicita scales and Loveramics cups — and through sponsorship. Competitors can train on the same kit they’ll use on stage.
We’ve been involved in the UK competition scene for well over a decade. The draw isn’t just seeing the cutting edge of coffee. It’s helping these events run, and helping people compete who couldn’t without support.

“I absolutely would not have been able to compete without the help and sponsorship of the team at Brewed By Hand… If you’re a new competitor and are wondering who to ask for support, hit them up.”
— Sierra Yeo, 2022 UK Brewers Cup Champion
“It’s better to use the cup you can trust and you’ve practiced with 1000 times because you know how it works.”
— Evangelos Koulougousidis, 2022 UK Barista Championship
Competition routines are where new techniques get tested before they reach café bars — the Switch, the Mugen, new burr sets and new cup shapes have all been proven on stage. When your team sees a champion trust a piece of kit, it’s easier to trust it on a Saturday morning rush.
If you’re organising an event or preparing to compete, get in touch with details of the event, dates and what you need. We can’t support everything, but we read every request.
